It's hard to believe when vacations are over. I vow next year to take two weeks instead of one. A quick recap and then look for subsequent posts for more details and pictures! We started off last weekend with someone's 35th birthday and celebrating at Pirate's Cove with a little family miniature golf and dinner at the Pier in OOB. Wrapping up the night with a ride on the carousel made a certain 3 year old extremely happy. :-)
I spent my actual birthday with some girlfriends at IKEA in Stoughton, MA. A very fun day trip shopping, checking out new bedroom furniture, and quality gal time. Super, super awesome day!
Storyland was up next and we spent two nights in North Conway eating out, exploring the area, riding the rides, meeting characters, jumping on hotel beds, swimming in pools, and seeing some waterfalls.
We left Wednesday and planned an entire beach day on Thursday. A great way to wrap up a busy few days. Friday was a low key day - a few errands for me and Abby's first movie with Dada - Turbo. She loved it and sat through the whole thing. She loved the popcorn and even told Dada that she wanted to go to the "Scary Music Ponies" - yea, we don't know where that came from. At all.
The Guerrettes came down Friday night to sleepover and get ready for the Beach to Beacon. A 10k that Tim and Chris G ran in while the fam cheered all 6000+ runners on. Our road is closed to shuttle the busses/runners back and forth to parking and the start line. Later that day, the Dee siblings and significant others trekked down to Boston for the Sox game and watched while Rob proposed to his girlfriend of 4 years! She said YES!
As you can see, a recap is quite long - a ton of fun things - each which deserves its own post. Stay tuned - they'll be coming!
