Family Fun

We had some relatives from out of town (Wisconsin!) in for the weekend and we had a fabulous BBQ on Friday night.  I picked up some lobsters (18!) and boiled water for corn.  It just goes to show that all it takes is a little food, a lot of family to make a TON of fun!  We got the EZ up because of the threat of rain and moved the festivities outside.  The fire was started to keep the bugs away.  Plates were full of lobster, corn, hot dogs and hamburgers, slaw, potato and macaroni salad.  S'mores (without the graham crackers) were dessert and the fun and laughter went on all night....

6 month Stats for Sam

On Thursday morning we had our 6 month appointment for Sam. We are in the clear to start rice cereal and move on to other yummy food.  We'll hold off on berried until 9 months and egg whites, shellfish, honey, and peanut butter until one year. What do you think we should do first??  I'm planning on making all our food like I did with Abby. Cheap, easy, good for him, and fun!

Sam got several of his vaccines to wrap up a great appointment.

Height 28" (90%)
Weight 14lb and 12 oz ( 6%)
Head Circumference (57%)

He's long and skinny :-) Wish I was!

Garage Redo

I wish that I had an awesome "before" picture, but alas Tim was so on top of things he took everything out before I got home.

We spent an entire day on this project and it might be one of my favorites in a while.  Special thanks to our friend Chris Guerrette's for being the mastermind behind the project. We went over the "plan" between 10am and 11am and then I went off to the beach with four kiddos.  I came back four hours later to find half the shelves and and was anxious to get some of this stuff put away in its rightful home.

Yeah, this is a lot of stuff....

It's Empty!

EMPTY!

Pretty and organized - look at that walkway!

and a kayak holder!!!!

Happy Half Birthday, Sam!

What a fantastic milestone!  This guy is ALL smiles and has his Dad's laid back personality.  He is eating (5) 6oz bottles, sleeping from 8pm-6:30ish, and has two bottom teeth.  He loves to jump in his jumperoo, bat at the toys on his bouncer, and giggle when you tickle him.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best Dad's!

Happy Anniversary

Six Years Ago:

Two less kids, a few less wrinkles, a few less gray hairs, a few less pennies in the bank,  a little less wiser......

Oh how times have changed.....

I'll keep the kids, the wrinkles, and gray hair and all that comes with growing old with your best bud.

AND, having a blast doing it!  With love, laughs, fun and family......

Weekend Happenings

More often than not, our weekends are filled with the brim with stuff.  Lessons, parties, games, etc.  The most fun is when we find ourselves with not a lot planned and we have impromptu gatherings with family and/or friends.

Last weekend it was corn hole, burgers, and beer.  So.much.fun!

We Have Teeth!

No pictures, yet of this squirmy guy, buut we have two teeth! Sam's bottom two teeth have poked themselves through after almost two months of work. He's a little cranky, but sleeping through the night. His cheeks are a  little rashy and he is wrapping up a doozy of a yeast diaper rash.  At 5 months 3 weeks, we're doing just fine. :)

A Crooked House

Today was an awesome day.  Just.plain.awesome.  First, it is Tim's 38th birthday.  Holy moses he's old.  Yes, I'm well aware that many of you reading are a wee bit older than this, but if he's old, then that means I'm getting older....anyways, I digress..

I heard that the Lion's Club Auction I was attending today was going to have a Crooked House.  These are made right here in Maine and seriously some of the cutest playscapes.  Well, I won't go through the play-by-play (but it IS very interesting!), but lo and behold the green with yellow trim Crooked House is now ours!

I can't even begin to describe how excited I am!  We went to Gritty's for dinner to celebrate Tim's birthday and on the kids menu is a crooked house.  I suggested Abby color the house green with yellow trim and asked her if she'd like one.  Cannot stand the anticipation.  I'm hoping I'll be able to confirm delivery shortly.  My Uncle has graciously volunteered to bring this 4x8 monster on his flat bed.  Will post more pictures soon!
