Our First Puppet Show

We spent last Sunday doing lots of fun things with the kids.  They absolutely kept us busy, on our toes, engaged, and overall exhausted.  One of the many games, puzzles, activities we did was create a puppet show.  At first, Tim and Abby started planning and it was clear they needed a strong director.  Cue Mama.  Abby and I whipped up a production of Cinderella staring the Leopard as Cinderella, the elephant as the Fairy Godmother, the Dog as prince, and a reindeer as the evil step mother.  Even Sam got into the action.

Sibling Teeth Brushing

One of my favorite parts of our morning is brushing our teeth.  The past few months, since it's been so cold it's the last thing we do while the cars are warming up.  We get the kids set up and we have about 2 maybe three minutes to hustle everything to the car and the final swoop of picking up.  I catch them really getting along and cleaning their pearly whites.  Either Tim or I do the "discount double check" and do the last few swipes with the brush or towel for Sam.

Seriously, these two are just.too.cute.

Check out that pink tile and pink laminate counter top.  You can't see the floor which is tiles painted black.  Thankfully, it's all getting ripped out in a few weeks.  We have hired my brothers to help us gut, strip, and finally remodel this ridiculous bathroom.  Stay tuned for an update in about a month!

Foam!

Pinterest is loads of fun for all kinds of things, especially new art projects.  I came across an easy recipe for colorful, rainbow foam.  I whipped up three batches and I hid lots of little items in a pan full of pink, green and blue foam.  The kids had a ball being archeologists.

We found the cool recipe from here. Truly, what would we do without Pinterest!

In a mixing bowl (Kitchen Aid Mixer is the best!), add 2 Tbsp of dish soap (we used Dawn) and 1/4 cup of water.

Add food coloring to the mix if desired.  Mix on the highest possible setting for 1-2 minutes.  Your foam should be able to form stiff peaks that hold their shape.  Scoop it out into your container and repeat as necessary until you have the desired amount of foam!

Rock Climbing

Just a few weeks ago we went to Saint Joseph's College to for a bit of Alumni fun.  They opened up the pool, the rock wall, rented a bounce house, and had pizza!  It was a nice time and even had the opportunity to meet up with some friends.
