Bowling at Easy Day

What a fun, spontaneous day with some of our good friends!  We started with some local brewery visits and ended up on the patio and bowling alley of the newly opened Easy Day restaurant and 10 lane bowling alley.  We left cranky Sam at home with Mimi - he's just getting over being sick.  And let's be real, dinner without an 18 month old is heaven.  So.Much.Fun!

Her shoes matched her dress!

Maybe Ellen and I needed the bumpers and rack, too.

First Picnic at the Beach and Happy Anniversary to us!

1.8 miles.  That's how far we are to the sand at Crescent Beach.  We often will grab sandwiches or pack a picnic for a middle of the week romp on the sand and surf.  It was a little chilly this evening, but it was still a great night for collecting shells, sea glass, and rocks. This day also happened to be our anniversary.  Tim and I had a planned vacation day and we spent a couple hours at the beach earlier in the day and then brought the kids back to the beach for dinner.  ahhhhh, the life....

Story Land 2014

Our Story Land trip of 2014 was early this year to avoid the crowds.  Both Sam and Abby had a blast and Abby really enjoyed the rides this year.  She was looking forward to the Polar Coaster, the Bamboo chutes, and the treats.  We ended up running into some friends the second day who helped us close down the park.  Mimi joined us for the fun trip!

Making memories with these smiles, laughter, and fun!

Last Tee Ball Game!

We never dreamed that in 6 weeks Abby would learn so much while she played tee ball. She really came out of her shell a bit and loved playing.  She learned to hit the ball AND run to first base, she loved playing with her friends, and especially loved playing "pitcher" and throwing dirt. Her confidence soared and just look at these smiles.

#6 is our girl! Coach Maria

Grand Slam!

She Can't wait to hit the ball!

Old Port Festival 2014

There is nothing quite like kicking off the summer with the Old Port Festival.  Portland shuts down the streets and fills them with food, music, vendors, and kid's (the little and big kind) entertainment. Abby and I waited in line for the Ferris wheel which proved to be some of the best views of the city.  She and Sam loved the rides and of course the cotton candy. We were fortunate to meet up with friends and family to have even more fun!  Even though some of the family members didn't remember seeing us.  :-)

We Love Our Church

When we moved back to Maine, it took a few months for us to get settled in our religious home.  Once we bought our home and realized the church we got married in was the the closest Congregational church in our area we were thrilled.  About 8 months ago Cindy Maddox, joined us as our new pastor. She simply is amazing.  I invite you to read her blog, especially her newest blog post that responded to a very hateful comment on our church's facebook page.  Just another reason we love our church.

Read "Random Acts of Faith" here.

Little League at the Sea Dogs

Abby's tee ball team had the opportunity attend the Sea Dogs game AND walk out on the field.  It may have been a little disorganized at the beginning, but she had a blast! The kids did great through 7 innings and Abby learned more about baseball.

Building Fairy Houses!

We finally had the opportunity to visit the fairy houses on Macworth Island.  Just a few weeks before, we borrowed the children's trilogy from the library.  The first story shares how to build fairy houses and the two books after share adventure stories. Abby was so excited to see Fairy Houses of her own and to build them. If you have young kids, you should totally check them out.  Imagination, fairies, nature!  We had so much fun playing with our friends and finishing up the walk with a picnic.
