Since Sam was born on Tuesday night I had just enough time to recover before the onslaught of holiday gatherings. We debated whether or not to go and let how I was feeling and how Sam was doing determine if we'd be able to make it.
We were able to make appearances at close to home gatherings, but had to miss celebrating with the Proctor family. We are anxious for everyone to meet Sam, so the guest room is ready!!

Santa was very good to us all and we enjoyed the morning to ourselves. We cooked a small turkey dinner for my parents later in the afternoon. Overall, a nice low-key day.
Of course, it's always important to remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. We missed attending church services, but made sure to read, "The Story of Christmas" and talk about our nativity. The Proctors hope each of you enjoyed your Christmas Day and celebrating the birth of baby Jesus.
