Pumpkinland 2014

Tragedy struck Pumpkinland in the evening of the day we visited - one of the wagons on the Gauntlet Night Ride jack knifed, tipped over and seriously injured dozens of teenagers including one fatality.  I didn't sleep well that evening as I continued to pray for those involved.  It also reminded me to make memories daily with my family and loved ones.  

With that said, we had such a wonderful time during the day - they have a plethora of kids activities - bounce houses, corn mazes, sweets and treats, pumpkin patches, tractor rides, and so much more. Mimi, Uncle Rob and Aunt Trish joined in the fun.  Dad missed out because he was on "vacation" in San Diego.

Fire House Open House

Sam was so excited to see all the fire trucks - old and new!  

We visited the fire station and saw the poles they slide down, a car fire display, and Zach on of the City's K-9's.  Gosh, did they have fun!

Good reminder to have a fire plan in place for when there is an emergency.

Soccer 2014

Abby had a blast during her 6 week soccer practice stint.  Unlike tee ball, it was skills based and the preschoolers did not have organized games.  They high school soccer coaches and players worked with small groups of 4-6 to show them dribbling, passing, shooting on goal, and having fun.

Shaving 101

Last holiday holiday season, Abby was fortunate to receive a pretty cool Spiderman shaving kit in a yankee swap. She's digging shaving in the tub, at the sink, and Daddy.

 

Wedding of the Year!

Rob and Trish's wedding was spectacular!  Gorgeous weather, beautiful people and fun times!  Here's a quick recap with pics:

It's not every day one of your little brother gets married.  All of the festivities were so much fun.  We had gorgeous weather (in the 80's!) and days full of sun.

Rob and Trish's wedding weekend started off with a bang.  Great weather, great people, and a big help in the flower department!  What I thought was going to take me four hours to do, just took two.  We had lots of people helping.

Apple Picking 2014

We were lucky enough to visit an Orchard at a friend's house and did the fastest apple picking adventure ever.  Football was on you know.  We stopped by a farm stand and got out pumpkins and mums on the way out.  We are grudgingly getting ready for fall.
